Jeffrey T. Herrick

10/19/1969 – 09/30/2006

Jeffrey ” Jeff ” Herrick is remembered for his humble nature, big smile, contagious laughter, and his passion for life.

Jeff was a member of the Bloomingdale Fire Protection District # 1 since 1999. Jeff held the rank of firefighter/paramedic and was an active member of the Dive Rescue Team. Jeff would often take on additional responsibilities within the fire department. Jeff assisted in maintaining emergency medical services inventories on all of the departments vehicles.

Jeff also enjoyed his involvement in public education events. He worked to help maintain the fire departments fleet of vehicles. He also served from time to time on several committees within the fire department.

Jeff was an enthusiastic motorcyclist. Often times while on road trips, Jeff would stop and take pictures in front of a state line sign, a Harley dealership, or a fire station.

Jeff is survived by his wife Karen, his stepdaughter Jessica, his parents, four brothers, one sister, many nieces, nephews, and friends.

The loss of Jeff leaves a void in our lives that will never be filled.
