Q:Can I schedule a tour of the fire station?

Yes, if you any group that would like to tour any of the fire stations, call 630-894-9080 and ask to speak to Deputy Chief Nels Olson. A time and a firefighter will be scheduled for your group. If your family would like a tour, just stop in anytime and a firefighter we be happy to show you around.

Q: Can I have the fire department come to a block party?

Yes, if your neighborhood is having a block party and would like the fire department at your event, call 630-894-9080 and ask to speak to Deputy Chief Nels Olson. Please note that these will be on-duty companies and may arrive later than scheduled and may leave to answer emergency calls.

Q: Does the fire department offer CPR classes to the public?

Yes, we provide monthly CPR classes (excluding August and December). We teach the American Heart Association standards for health care provider. To inquire about the next available class call 630-894-9080 and speak to the receptionist.

Q: Does the fire department re-charge fire extinguishers?

No, there many licensed fire extinguisher companies in the DuPage County area. Consult your phone book for the nearest fire extinguisher company near you.

Q: What is the difference between a fire department and a fire protection district?

A fire department normally protects only area inclusive within the boundaries of a village or city. A fire protection district protects areas of multiple villages and unincorporated areas. Fire protection districts are the most common delivery of fire services in the state of Illinois.

Q: How many fire stations are in the Bloomingdale Fire Protection District?

There are three fire stations protecting over 17 square mile. Station 1 is the new Headquarters station located at 179 S. Bloomingdale Road, Station 2 is at 6N480 Keeney Road, Roselle and Station 3 is at 246 S. Gary Avenue (across from Stratford Square Mall).
