Specialty Teams

The Bloomingdale Fire Protection District utilizes specialty response teams for a variety of emergencies.  These teams are composed of specially trained personnel that are capable of responding to and mitigating these types of emergencies.  The District has three such teams, Hazardous Materials, Water Rescue, and Technical Rescue teams.  These specially trained teams are able to respond to calls within the District and to surrounding communities when needed

The Hazardous Materials Team handles hazardous materials including nuclear, biological, and chemical emergencies.

The Water Rescue Team performs both topside and underwater rescue and recoveries.

The Technical Rescue Team handles special rescue situations such as high angle rope rescue, trench or structural collapse, and confined space entry.
