Fire Alarm Monitoring Requirements
Fire alarm systems within the Bloomingdale Fire Protection District shall be monitored by either DuComm via a Tyco Radio, or by a UL listed central station via an AES, Keltron, or similar mesh network radio. Cellular and IP communicators are not accepted. Fire alarm systems within Hanover Park must be monitored by DuComm.
Permits required by the local municipality must be obtained prior to installation. It is the responsibility of the fire alarm contractor to contact the jurisdiction for permit verification.
Monitoring equipment specifications including the radio datasheet and the UL listing for the central station shall be provided to the Fire District for review and approval prior to installation.
Upon installation, the system shall be tested by the fire alarm contractor and shall provide the Fire District with a copy of the testing report showing transmission of trouble, supervisory, and full fire signals. A network connectivity/routing table report shall indicate at least 2 good signal paths.
