Freedom of Information

It is the policy of the Board of Trustees of the Bloomingdale Fire Protection District to permit access to and copying of public records in accordance with the Illinois Freedom of Information Act (5ILCS 140/4).   However, the district respects the limited exceptions outlined in the Act with regards to the safeguarding of individual privacy and efficient operation of the district.  The Administrative Assistant and Deputy Fire Chief, who are hereby appointed the District's FOIA officers, shall ensure that the district complies with the Act.

All public requests for information and/or records will be processed through the administration office of the district, located at 179 S. Bloomingdale Road, Bloomingdale, Illinois.  Requests are accepted via mail, facsimile, email, or personal delivery.  While a specific form is not required, the District has a form available for your use.  

FOIA Fees:
The first 50 black and white copies are free.  Thereafter, each page will be charged $.15 per page and each color copy will be charged at $.25 per page.
Persons requesting reports requiring USB delivery  will be charged at the actual cost to the District for reproduction.
